Hello again, I'm Kimberly

Creating art and connecting with others has always been a passion of mine. With a background in Fine Arts and Psychology, I've always been intrigued by the power of visual expression to convey meaning and make an impact.

As a designer, my goal is to create work that is simple, intentional, and human-centered, approaching trends with an open mind and a healthy degree of skepticism. I'm continually inspired by the potential of digital design to improve people's lives beyond the screen and believe that design has the power to shape the world for the better.

I bridge my personal and professional experiences to deepen my skill sets as a designer with:

Visual Arts

Over the years, I studied various art forms, which helped me develop my eye for detail and a comprehensive approach to design that I now bring to my work as a designer. I learned to consider aspects of design principles, from color theory to composition, which I apply to the digital space to create compelling and enjoyable user experiences that are both user-friendly and visually aesthetic.

Empathy

As a designer, my approach involves immersing myself in the world of my users to create designs that resonate with them. I tap into my background in Psychology to better understand their unique perspectives, situations, and reactions. By exploring the ways emotions influences behavior and decision-making, I’m able to create designs that connect with users to enhance their lives.

Project Management

I’ve been fortunate to work with individuals from different backgrounds and skillsets, from clinics to engineering firms, which helped me develop strong interpersonal skills and project management abilities. I approach my work with an open mind, embrace different perspectives, and lean on productive collaboration to ensure that goals are met and projects are delivered in a timely manner.
